DayZ Badlands Price Announcement | Creator Program
Posted on October 2nd, 2026 04:29 AM EST

We are less than two weeks away from the release of Update 1.30 and the accompanying DayZ Badlands expansion. So, we’d like to take a moment to answer some of the questions you may have.
Let’s start with the pricing. The DayZ Badlands expansion is priced at approximately $24.99. Regional pricing may apply. Considering that Nasdara is a brand-new terrain made specifically for DayZ, with a plethora of new features, we believe it’s a fair price point.

Just to recap our recap, all core gameplay features planned for DayZ Badlands remain on track for the October 15 release, including:
Sandstorms
Rebuilding mechanics and rebuildable houses
Motorcycles and their accompanying physics
Radio gameplay, including Morse code signals that lead to underground shelters
New regional firearms, clothing, and loot
New regional wildlife: dogs, desert monitors, and mouflons
Regional diseases
Underground facilities and infrastructure powered by the new terrain-hole system, which will also be available for other maps and to the modding community
We hope you are excited for this chapter of DayZ. For now, you can wishlist the expansion.
We are happy to announce that we are bringing back the Creator Program in partnership with Lurkit for the release of DayZ Badlands. You can find it here: https://creators.dayz.com/

It is essentially an exclusive period for all DayZ creators to try out DayZ Badlands and grow their channels alongside their fellow creators. DayZ is a game that came out of the community, and it only makes sense for us to celebrate this major milestone with the community.
The Creator Program is specifically designed to benefit all creators, whether you are big or small, a DayZ creator, or a variety creator. You will have a chance to grow your channels alongside the release traffic, all while helping us with the final stretch to increase our wishlist numbers. It’s a win-win situation. Let us break it all down for you.
The event will run from October 8 to the morning of release day on October 15. This should provide around six to seven days of streaming.
We understand that some of you may feel inclined to ask us to shorten the duration as much as possible, but this is already a significant compromise for an endeavor that proved successful for DayZ Frostline. It is our final marketing push for DayZ Badlands, and we would like to maximize the expansion’s reach to as many people as possible. It will also give us enough time to collect data and feedback for upcoming updates and patches.
We have also decided not to release the radio gameplay feature during the event. It will only become available with the release of DayZ Badlands. Regardless, we also suggest adding a “Spoiler” tag to the title of all streams made during the event to accommodate members of the community who would prefer to experience Nasdara without any prior knowledge.

We are opening the event to all types of creators, including streamers, video creators, and modders, provided they can stream the game on platforms such as Twitch, YouTube, or TikTok and sign up for Lurkit. We would like to use a centralized platform that allows us to monitor all activity in one place.
You will need to sign up for the DayZ Creator Program on Lurkit here. If you are already in the Creator Program, we will send you a notification via Lurkit for key activation. There may be cases where your channel was accepted for a previous event but has been largely inactive since. In these cases, we may not invite you again.
The invites for key activation will only be sent out next week, a few days before the event. We will review your application internally and, upon approval, send you a key for the pre-release DayZ Badlands build.
You will have six to seven days to stream. You may create content during those days, but you should not publish it until the embargo ends on the morning of release day. Once you submit your stream content through Lurkit, we will send you a retail key, along with additional keys for you to give away to your community.
Keep in mind that we are manually adding participants to the event, so your admission may be delayed due to capacity. Please also make sure that you have access to our private Discord channel for the event, where you will receive all the necessary information.

Yes. Our internal requirements are a minimum of 5,000 to 10,000 subscribers or the equivalent of at least 50 concurrent viewers on relevant video-based gaming platforms such as YouTube, Twitch, and TikTok, as well as the Steam Workshop for modders.
We will not be supporting applications from Facebook, Instagram, or Steam Curator. Of course, these are not hard requirements, as we will exercise an appropriate amount of leniency and flexibility. If your channel and your work are generally inactive or your viewer count is significantly below the threshold, other creators may be prioritized.
Some creators from the modding community may have to reach out to us via our socials to verify their Steam Workshop, Steam ID, and Lurkit account. This is a new endeavor for us, so we appreciate your patience with any delays.
Yes, there is a strict Code of Conduct that we expect you to follow. Please read it carefully. Breaching the Code of Conduct will result in serious measures, ranging from the termination of your current access to the event and future collaborations to a permanent game ban. You can find the Code of Conduct on the event landing page here, in the announcement on Lurkit, or in our Discord channel.

There will be approximately two North American servers and two European servers. We will monitor traffic and increase or decrease the number of servers accordingly. We are currently not adding servers in other regions due to the extremely low populations seen during the previous event. Creators from those regions may still apply, provided that they are comfortable playing on servers in other regions.
Make sure you read all the necessary information, either in the Creator Program announcements on Lurkit or in the Creator Event Discord channel.
Make sure you provide your Steam ID.
